Recipe
Tin Foil Dinner
Ingredients
Heavy tin foil—(double for coals & single for oven)
1 lb. hamburg (you can use chicken breasts)
onion (I use dry onion)
1 can cream of mushroom or chicken soup (undiluted)
4 raw potatoes peeled and cut into slices
Salt
4 carrots cut up
mushrooms
mandarin oranges
pineapple (drained)
(whatever vegetable you want) summer squash is so good.
Directions
Take a good size sheet of tin foil and double it. Lay it on a counter. Do four of these. You need it large enough to put the food on and to fold up into individual meals. Divide the meat into 4 patties about ½ inch thick and put the raw meat on the tin foil. Put a couple of spoonfuls of soup on top of the meat (divide the soup between all four meals. Add dry onions. Put raw potatoes and carrots on the meat & salt them. Add mushrooms and pineapple and oranges or whatever you would like on top. Fold it up and seal the tin foil so nothing can get out. Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour—turn over after ½ hour. These can be done on hot briquettes or on your outdoor barbecue grill. I think it is 20 minutes on each side—could be less depending on the heat. Check to see if done. Very good!!!!
